The short version
Be a verified adult. Be kind to other members. Don't post things you wouldn't want done to you. We'll keep the app running, keep your data private, and not pull the rug. If anything here ever feels unfair, tell us and we'll look at it again.
Who can use thatnewone
You need to be eighteen or over, a verified adult through our age check, and using the app for yourself. No agencies, no bots, no scraping, no signing up on behalf of someone else. If you're in a country where adult dating isn't legal, this app isn't for you. We're built for UK adults primarily and we're not trying to outsmart anyone's local laws.
Your account
One person, one account. Keep your password to yourself, use a real email so we can help you if something goes wrong, and don't share login details with anyone, even a partner. If someone else gets into your account, tell us straight away at [email protected] and we'll lock it down.
You can delete your account at any time from settings. No hoops, no retention calls, no dark patterns. When you delete, the thirty-day clock from our privacy policy starts.
What you post
You own what you upload. Your photos, your bio, your words, your kink list, all yours. By posting them you give us permission to show them to the people you've chosen to show them to, store them on our servers, and run the moderation and face-blur systems on your images. That's it. We don't claim them, we don't license them out, we don't train models on them, we don't sell them.
What we do ask is that whatever you post is actually yours. Don't upload other people's photos. Don't post content that includes anyone who hasn't agreed to be on the app. Don't pretend to be someone else. If you wouldn't want it done to you, don't do it.
How to behave
We have a separate community guidelines page with the full picture, but the spirit is simple. Treat other members like people. No harassment, no unsolicited explicit material at first contact, no racism, no transphobia, no body-shaming, no pressure, no creeping. Take a no with grace and move on.
If you break the guidelines, depending on what happened we might warn you, restrict what you can do, or remove your account. For serious things, like sending content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or threats of violence, we'll remove the account immediately and pass things to the police where appropriate.
Things you can't do on here
- Sell sex, escort services, or anything commercial. We're a dating app, not a marketplace.
- Promote unrelated products, services, businesses, or other apps.
- Scrape, mirror, harvest, or otherwise hoover up profile data.
- Reverse engineer the app, mess with its security, or try to break it for kicks.
- Use the app to harass, dox, stalk, or intimidate anyone, on or off the platform.
- Pretend to be someone else, including catfishing with someone else's photos.
- Run automated tools, bots, or scripts against the service.
The Supporter plan
The core app is free, forever. If you become a Supporter, you're paying because you want to help keep the lights on and unlock a few extras, not because we're holding the good stuff hostage. You can cancel any time from settings, and you keep your Supporter perks until the end of the period you've already paid for. Refunds aren't automatic but we'll always look at a fair case, just ask.
What we promise
We'll keep the app running as best we can, fix things when they break, and tell you honestly when something's wrong on our end. Our status page shows real uptime, not vibes. We'll never sell your data, run ads against you, or quietly change the deal in our favour without telling you in advance.
That said, we're a small team building this carefully, not a megacorp with a hundred SREs. The app is provided as it is. We can't guarantee it'll be available every second of every day, that every match will lead somewhere, or that everyone you meet will be lovely. We'll do our part. You do yours.
If we have to part ways
If you break these terms in a way that's harming other members or breaking the law, we'll remove your account. We'll tell you why, in plain words, by email. For borderline things you'll get a chance to put it right. For the serious stuff there's no second chance and we don't think there should be.
If you ever feel a moderation decision was wrong, reply to that email or write to [email protected] and a human will read it.
Things going wrong
If something on our end causes you a loss, our liability is limited to what UK law lets us limit it to, and never more than the amount you've paid us in the last twelve months (which, for most of you, is zero, because the app is free). Nothing in these terms tries to dodge responsibility for things the law says we can't dodge, like death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
Changes to these terms
If we change something material, we'll tell you in the app and by email at least thirty days before it takes effect. If you don't like the new version, you can delete your account before it kicks in and we'll part on good terms.
The legal bit, kept short
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If there's a dispute we can't sort out together, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. thatnewone is operated from the UK by the team behind the app, contactable at the addresses on this page.
